We wish they would last forever!

JM Balloon Designs use high quality balloons, however, even the world's best balloons are fragile products with a relatively short life span. When ordering balloons, expect to enjoy your balloons for a full day if used indoors, and less than a full day if used outdoors. We apply Hi-Float to all of our latex balloons which allows us to expect them to last up to 8 hours under ideal conditions. Mylar balloons can sometimes float much longer, but due to the delicate nature of balloons our recommendation is to have your balloons delivered the day of your event.

Cold air, hot air, high humidity, changing barometric pressure, high altitudes, and moving air from fans and vents will reduce balloon float times. The float times posted on our site are the maximum to be expected. Changing conditions mean that on some occasions balloons may float for only one day, and on other occasions the same balloons may float for many days. We guarantee that your balloons will be delivered in perfect condition, but float times are not guaranteed.

FAQ

1. How long will my balloons last?

The following standard float times apply to balloon-friendly indoor environments.

Mylar (foil) and latex balloons will remain afloat for at least 2 days.

2. Will temperature affect the balloons?

Yes. Helium expands under high temperatures, which often leads to balloons popping. To avoid popping of balloons; Do not leave balloons outside on a hot day, do not leave them in a hot car for any amount of time, and do not bring them into any over-heated environment such as an indoor waterpark. On hot days, in direct sunlight, balloons may pop within an hour. The same result can occur indoors if balloons are exposed to direct sunlight through windows.Very cool environments may cause helium molecules to shrink, reducing the size and float time of balloons. Helium shrivels under cold temperatures. You may experience major shrinkage of mylar balloons when exposed to cold temperatures but they will return to their normal state when exposed to warmer air.

3. What if my balloons pop or are defective?

Static electricity, invisible fibers on ceilings, as well as warm temperatures indoors and outside can often cause balloons to pop.  Latex balloons are more likely to pop than mylar balloons. This is very common, and is sometimes uncontrollable. When balloons pop it is due to forces outside of our control so for this reason we do not provide any refund or replacement for any popped balloons.

In cases where your balloons appear to have a leak, and are no longer floating, JM Balloon Designs will classify this as a defective balloon and will provide replacement balloons at no extra charge at the time of delivery.
